We’re now reforesting 2,800 acres of mine-scarred properties in central Appalachia!
Our program covers 100% of the costs of reforestation and compensates landowners for their participation.

To ensure that new forests thrive, Bosland Growth uses the Forestry Reclamation Approach, a proven method based on scientific research and experience and developed specifically for coal-mined land.
Our landowners commit to maintaining the planting areas as working forests in perpetuity, with timber harvesting deferred for 60 years.

We develop public-private partnerships to fund our work, leveraging the voluntary carbon markets while benefitting from the interest of governments and foundations in catalyzing capital intensive programs with community and ecological benefits.
